Terms of service

What you agree to when you use Treasury Guild: wallets, communities, on-chain activity and integrations.

These terms explain what you agree to when you use Treasury Guild. Treasury Guild is operated by André Diamond. For questions about these terms, write to andruzkas@gmail.com. What Treasury Guild stores about you is covered separately in the Privacy policy.

Agreement

By signing in with a Cardano wallet, joining or creating a community, connecting Discord, Zoom, Google or GitHub, approving an AI assistant, or otherwise using Treasury Guild, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What Treasury Guild is

Treasury Guild is software that helps communities run Cardano multisig treasuries: workgroups and tasks, payouts and payments, call attendance, budgets, proposals and voting, minting, and related bookkeeping. It is not a bank, custodian, exchange, broker or investment advisor. It never holds your wallet keys or seed phrase. Communities decide their own membership, budgets and spending; Treasury Guild provides the tools.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep control of your wallet and seed phrase. Anyone who can sign with your wallet can act as you in the app.
  • Check every transaction before you sign it. Once it is on the Cardano blockchain it cannot be undone.
  • Use the network that matches the community (mainnet or preprod). A community's network is fixed when it is created.
  • You are responsible for the text you enter (proposal bodies, task titles, payment memos, call titles, and similar). Do not put private information in memos or other fields that may be published on-chain or shown to the community.
  • If you are a community admin or workgroup manager, you are responsible for how that community uses capture and integrations (who is recorded in calls, which Discord channel or webhook receives posts, which GitHub repos are connected).

Communities and admins

Admins and managers control membership, roles, budgets, treasuries, call platforms and announcements for their community. A community that captures Discord, Zoom or Meet attendance may record people who never signed into Treasury Guild, because that is how the community counts attendance (see the privacy policy). Spending decisions belong to the community and its signers, not to the operator of Treasury Guild.

On-chain activity

Payouts, payments, mints and proposal anchors that go through Treasury Guild are Cardano transactions. Their outputs and metadata are public and permanent. Treasury Guild cannot reverse, edit or erase them. Workgroup names and any payment memo you enter can appear in that public record.

Integrations

  • Discord. When a community connects its server, the Treasury Guild bot may take short voice-channel attendance snapshots and post announcements the community configures. It does not join calls to listen, and it does not read Discord messages. Personal Discord linking uses the identify scope only.
  • Zoom and Google Meet. A community may connect a host account so attendance of its listed or linked meetings can be recorded. Scope and retention match the privacy policy.
  • GitHub. A community may install the GitHub App to turn issues into tasks and write back payment status. Linking your own GitHub account is optional.
  • AI assistants. An assistant you approve can read community data you can see as a member, and (if you grant write permissions) can make changes only after a preview you confirm through that assistant. Assistants never sign, submit or vote on transactions for you. What the assistant does with data it receives is governed by that assistant's own terms and privacy policy.

Third-party services (Discord, GitHub, Zoom, Google, Koios, Pinata, CoinGecko, hosting providers and others named in the privacy policy) have their own terms. Treasury Guild is not responsible for those services' availability or decisions.

Acceptable use

Do not try to bypass rate limits, guess sign-in or check-in codes or invite tokens, access another wallet's session, interfere with the service, or use Treasury Guild for unlawful activity. The operator may refuse, limit or remove access when there is serious abuse or a clear risk to the service or its users.

No warranties

Treasury Guild is provided as available. There is no promise of uninterrupted uptime, of any particular blockchain confirmation time, or that third-party APIs will always work. The operator is not liable for community decisions, lost or stolen keys, transactions you or your co-signers approve in error, failed or misbuilt transactions, or irreversible outcomes on the Cardano blockchain.

Age

Treasury Guild is not meant for children under 16.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
